This is a great tool for the potter. With the extruder you will be able to create new, innovative and more creative works.

It is also a great tool for production, need a couple hundred feet of mug handles, no problem!

The extruder is of steel construction with the exception of the plunger plate which is cut from high density polyethylene. The extruder barrel is 4" square and holds aprox. 12 lb's of clay. Overall dimensions of the extruder with the handle removed is 36" x 9" x 6".

Extruding is near effortless due to the incredible leverage from the 3' long handle.

The 4" square extruder size is very common and is offered by many manufacturers, there dies will fit just fine. Dies are of course easy and quick to make from sheet metal, wood or plastic. When you make your own die shapes you are only limited by your imagination.

Included are 4 extruder dies with chamfered openings.  3 of the dies produce small geometric shapes, (4 each and includes a steel mask plate to block off all but 1 opening to minimise waste).  4th die makes test tiles, perfect for experimenting with kiln settings and glazes.
